Rosati-Kain nationally recognized for academic excellence by Cardinal Newman Society
Rosati-Kain High School, a Catholic Archdiocesan all girls' school, has been awarded special recognition for academic excellence by the Cardinal Newman Society and its National Catholic High School Honor Roll for 2012-2013.
The National Catholic High School Honor Roll listing is determined biannually based on academic excellence, Catholic identity, and civic education. The Cardinal Newman Society utilizes the Honor Roll as a way to identify and encourage excellence in Catholic education.
"To be nationally recognized for academic excellence is a tremendous honor," said R-K President Sr. Joan Andert, SSND. "We applaud our faculty and staff for their dedication to our students' faith development and for promoting the highest standard of academic achievement."
Principal Judy Mohan noted R-K's curriculum integrates faith with its outstanding academic program.
"Students have a chance to explore faith and be comfortable in faith, so they can achieve great things in the world," Mohan said. "R-K is devoted to academic excellence, but the focus is done in light of faith and service formation for our girls."
Service is a major focus at R-K and students are involved in summer service trips, sports team service events, service clubs and a school-wide service blitz.
R-K students grow in their Catholic identity through retreats, Pro-Life promotion and regularly celebrating the Eucharistic liturgy, Mohan said.
Rosati-Kain High School has been preparing young women for bright and faith-filled futures for 100 years and will continue in this legacy for generations to come.
