Cross Country

Cross Country News

Fall 2012:

Congratulations to the R-K cross country team on a great season. Four individual runners finished in the top 15 in their district meet in Class 3 to qualify for the state meet. The girls competed at the Missouri State Cross Country Meet in Jefferson City on Saturday, Nov. 3. They ran against tough competition on a very challenging course. 

The results from the state meet are as follows: Gabby Hantak 21:05, Alex Porter 22:19, Alex Holzum 22:31, and Maria Huhman 24:17. 

Thank you to all the girls, parents, fans and alumnae for a great season.

Cross Country Team has run in several meets in the month of September.  The team has raced at Forest Park Cross Country Festival, the Lutheran North Invite at Spanish Lake, and the Hancock Invitational at Jefferson Barrack.  The team is looking forward to the month of October as they prepare for AAA Conference meet and Class 3A district meet.

Fall 2011:

The Cross Country team had a great season, setting set seven personal records along the way. Gabby Hantak was named to the All-Conference team .The team claimed a district title in Class 3A and had five all-district runners. They qualified for the State Championships as a team.

The team would like to thank the fans, parents and coaches for all the support they received this past season.  A special thanks to our SENIORS for all their dedication and service to the team.

Fall 2010:

Congratulations to Gabby Hantak 4th, Mindy Schmittgens 11th, and Allison Nickrent 12th  who qualified for the state cross country meet in Jefferson City.

Tryouts

• Cross Country will begin Monday, August 6 at the field next to the Dwight Davis Tennis courts in Forest Park at 8 a.m. and go till 10. Be prepared for lots running - wear good shoes and bring water bottles
