OSM Contributions & Christmas Stockings
The students, faculty, and staff of R-K raised $2,469 for their "sisters" living in Akwanga, Nigeria, Africa. These funds were raised through sharing awareness of the needs of other young women such as themselves, enthusiastic design and sales of clothing, and donations from the Christmas concerts. An additional $750 of raised funds is being donated to St. Patrick's Center, to aid the homeless in St. Louis.
As a Christmas project this school year, students received socks to stuff for the needy. Advisories were assigned to bring goods for the stockings, and on December 8th, students stuffed the socks. Over 350 socks were donated to Doorways, Our Lady's Inn, and the Carondalet Betterment Society. Items in the stockings were things like onesies, soap, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, games, and other small gifts.
