Philosophy

Rosati-Kain places emphasis on creative thinking and on responsible freedom lived in the context of Christianity, which calls each person to actualize the potential that lies locked within the human being.

To think creatively is to search out, discover and analyze our feelings in relation to the ideas which comprise our heritage.

To be responsibly free is to make informed personal decisions, to be accountable for one's actions and to respect the rights of others. The value we place on creative thinking and responsible freedom is the core which gives direction to the education Rosati-Kain offers.

We value the individual highly and encourage her to explore alternatives and develop personal values that fulfill her and benefit society. We foster in each other the faith and compassion characteristic of a Christian.

We value a climate of freedom necessary for critical thinking and artistic expression, as well as the creative integration of the two. Such a climate provides a variety of styles of learning in which each person learns to deal creatively with a constantly changing world.
