Prep HQ: An exciting feature has been added to the Guidance Office: PrepHQ. It is a secure internet-based tool for students and the Guidance Office to manage the college planning process. We will be able to communicate with students about new scholarships, summer programs, college representative visits, etc. Students and parents will be able to track applications as they proceed through our office and much, much more. We are excited about this new way for students to do their college application process. Rising seniors have already registered. Juniors can register with name and R-K student number. Training for Juniors on the program will be held at a later date this fall.
Two full-time counselors on staff provide the following services:
- College planning and guidance
- Career/major counseling (group activities and self assessment tools)
- Academic testing and interpretation
- Resource room available for students and parents
- Confidential, personal counseling for students and parents
- Consultation to discuss academic goals/concerns
- Referral process to community professional resources
- Wellness and prevention programs
